RANDALSTOWN RUGBY CLUB REWARDED AT ULSTER RUGBY SEASON FINALE
It was a grand slam at Ravenhill last night (Thursday 3rd May) as ten schools and mini rugby clubs from across Northern Ireland gathered at Ravenhill rugby grounds for the season finale of The Belfast Telegraph ‘Rugby Rewards’ campaign in association with Bank of Ireland and supported by Ulster Rugby.
Hundred’s of schools registered and over 50,000 tokens were collected for the ‘Rugby Rewards’ initiative, with ten schools being selected at random to be in with the chance of winning the ultimate prize of £1500 worth of sports equipment from Bank of Ireland.
Young budding rugby players from Coleraine Mini Rugby Club, Campbell College Junior School, Andrews Memorial Primary School, Ben Madigan Prep – year 4, Donaghadee Rugby Club, St Andrews National School in L’Derry, Randalstown Rugby Football Club, Pond Park Primary School, Lisburn, Dromore RFC Under 7’s and Rasharkin Primary School gathered at the grounds eagerly awaiting the results of which prize they had won.
Met by some of the Ulster Rugby Stars, it was Randalstown Rugby Club Under 14s team which took home the top prize of £1500 worth of sports equipment from the Bank of Ireland. Andrews Memorial Primary School in Comber won a coaching & training session with the Ulster Rugby squad and Dromore Rugby Club under 7s team won a VIP team trip to an Ulster Rugby match for 25 people.
