The Gallery Café Bar announces sponsorship of young golf talent

Belfast’s newest restaurant, café and bar, The Gallery Café Bar, located on the up and coming Dublin Road, has ‘chipped in’ with its support of the 2017 Galgorm Resort & Spa Northern Ireland Open, presented by Modest! Golf at Galgorm Castle from August 10-13, with the sponsorship of three rising golf stars.

Future global contenders, Thriston Lawrence, Guido Migliozzi and South African rookie of the year, Christiaan Bezhuidenhout, will all benefit from support and sponsorship provided by The Gallery, as they get ready to compete at Northern Ireland’s annual professional tournament.

Thriston Lawrence became the youngest ever champion of the South African Amateur Championship in 2013; before turning pro, 2014 saw him go on to successfully defend the SA Amateur and win the prestigious Lytham Trophy. Former Italian No.1 amateur golfer Guido Migliozzi turned professional in 2016 after a successful amateur career which saw him win the 2016 Portuguese International Amateur Championship, the 2014 European Nations Cup and the 2014 Duke of York title. South African rookie of the year, Christiaan Bezhuidenhout’s maiden victory as a 22-year-old at the Sun Fish River Challenge in October helped define his rookie season as one of the best in Sunshine Tour history.

Managed by Modest! Golf, the golf management company jointly owned by music artist Niall Horan and Director Mark McDonnell, the players are to compete at the 5thyear of the NI Open, a brand-new format event, which is expected to attract thousands of golf fans from across the UK and Ireland.

Chief Executive of The Richland Group and The Gallery proprietor, Gary McCausland said:

“We are delighted to be supporting the new and emerging talent of the golf world, as Thriston, Guido and Christiaan get ready to compete at the 2017 Galgorm Resort & Spa Northern Ireland Open this week.

Here at The Gallery we believe in supporting young talent and as a business with cutting edge ideas, it was the perfect fit to support these players at such an iconic, innovative and local golf tournament and we look forward to watching their progress alongside the Modest! Golf team.”
