Titanic Hotel Belfast has opened with fanfare in the city's Titanic Quarter where the Harland & Wolff headquarters once stood. The £28m Harcourt operated hotel tells the story of Belfast's shipbuilding and maritime history of the past 100 years.
The Drawing Offices, where Titanic itself was designed, have been fully restored to their former glory thanks to a £5m grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund's Enterprise Fund.
With 119 suites boasting views of Harland & Wolff cranes to the east and the Titanic Slipways to the west, Titanic Hotel Belfast is a unique heritage experience adding to Belfast's booming tourist offering.
Pictured at the official opening along with musicians from the Ulster Youth Orchestra is Philip Rafferty, James Eyre, Titanic Quarter, Pat Doherty of Harcourt Developments, Kerrie Sweeney, Titanic Foundation and Adrian McNally, General Manager at the official opening this afternoon.
